Associate Music Director
Part-Time, 15-20 hrs/wk
Reports to Director of Music and Worship Arts
The principal duty of all staff is to assist in the mission of the Church: to Share God’s Love with All People. Paid staff are leaders in equipping people to offer their gifts in ministry. Primary responsibility is to recruit, train, and support ministry teams.
Essential Functions:
- provides support to the Director of Music
- accompanies choral rehearsals on Wednesday evenings
- plays piano/organ in worship on Sunday mornings
- plans and leads Sunday evening contemporary worship
- plays additional services/concerts as needed: Christmas Eve, Holy Week, etc.
Qualifications:
- Passion for justice, love and compassion for marginalized people
- high energy
- strong work ethic
- ability to recruit, train and support teams of volunteers
- proficient musical skills to accompany a variety of music genre from classical to modern on piano and organ
- Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent experience
- Experience leading children’s choirs and other musical ensembles a plus
- Experience with A/V equipment and setup a plus
Salary: $20,000
